Permanent Home Design

We are releasing open source design for a rural single and double storey house using locally available resources. They are reinforced for earthquake resistance. In our estimate, using this kind of design 89% of the money stays locally while 11% are spent on buying steel reinforcements.

The design respects the vernacular traditional while contemporizing for the modern context. Similarly, promote traditional craftsmanship while adding features like passive solar design, improved cooking stove and rain water harvesting.
